Bida, Nigeria Eye Care Drive - 2023

Vision Center International held its annual Eye Care Drive in Bida, Niger State, Nigeria in October 2023. VCI collaborated with the Federal Medical Center, Bida to carry out the eye care expedition. Beneficiaries came from Bida and its environs came in large numbers to benefit from the eye care education, assessment and treatment. VCI donated 500 eye glasses that were distributed free to the lucky beneficiaries.

Unfortunately, we were unable to meet the needs of the large number of beneficiaries that showed up. We are hopeful that at the next eye care drive in 2024, VCI would be able to triple the assistance we were able to give.

VCI appreciates the management and staff of the Federal Medical Center for carrying out the eye tests and assessment and providing the venue for the successful eye care drive.
